    The food was cooked fresh and wasn't too expensive! I got a big lunch plate, sushi, rice and beef w broccoli for under $50. Food was super fresh and tasted very good, I def recommended for take out (only took about 10-15 min to cook order) and the service was also pretty good, nice cashier with nice restaurant look+vibe

    We aren't from the area. We came all the way from the SF Bay Area to attend a Polynesian competition our granddaughter is competing in. We came a day early, so we had some time to kill. Our hotel was located close to this resto and since we didn't want to go too far because the heat was unbearable, we decided to take a chance. And a good chance we took as we hit the jackpot in more ways than we thought. This is a Chinese/Japanese restaurant...who would have thought!! Most of the time, a place like this is good with one cuisine and not so good with the other. But this place is the exception. The sushi was fresh and delicious, the teriyaki wasn't overly sweet and the proteins were nice and soft. And the rice...the rice was perfectly cooked giving the bento box an over the top presentation. And I couldn't believe this place is ran by three generations! An honest to goodness family operation where all the generations are involved. The first and second generations were manning the kitchen while the young third generation were in charge of waiting and bussing tables and taking payment and manning the register. They even had the to go orders in such good order, the lines didn't have a chance to grow and people just kept coming and going! All in all, my wife and I were thoroughly impressed and I am gladly sharing these stars for this family operation. Keep it up guys!!

    Still in search for our go to local Asian restaurant we decided to give Good Friends a try. There were no customers dining in but plenty of to go orders being picked up. The restaurant is small and quiet. We ordered two dinner combo which come with soup of the day, egg roll, fried rice, chow mein, sweet & sour pork plus the entree of your choice...we went with salt & pepper fish and teriyaki beef. So much food and it was all very tasty. We want to try their sushi options next time. Any recommendations?

    I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and good the chow mien and the orange chicken was. It tasted authentic and I love the fact that you can order a combo plate during dinner vs having to order everything separately. I wanted chow mein and chicken, but I didn't want a dinner size of each. I love that you can get the dinner special with the one person option. I, definitely, will be coming back again.
